about me
Born in Spain and raised in the UK, Rodrigo is an accomplished international private tutor and qualified secondary school teacher, known for his engaging, rigorous, and highly personalised approach to education.
Educated at Ampleforth College, one of the UK’s leading independent schools, Rodrigo began his academic career studying Latin and Greek at University College London. He later completed a BA in International Relations at King’s College London, which included a year at the University of Hong Kong as a British Council Hong Kong Scholar. He holds an MSc in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam and completed his PGCE in Secondary Modern Languages at Pembroke College, University of Oxford in 2022.
Rodrigo’s teaching career began in 2010 as a General Teaching Assistant at a UK school for students with Special Educational Needs. He went on to work as a Modern Languages Assistant at the Montserrat Choir School in Spain and spent several years teaching English in London and China during university holidays.
He has taught in both the independent and state sectors, including a role as a Postgraduate Assistant Teacher at Brighton College—widely regarded as the UK’s leading co-educational independent senior school—and as a classroom teacher of Spanish and French at a secondary school in Oxfordshire.
Since 2013, Rodrigo has provided bespoke one-to-one tuition and residential academic support to high-net-worth clients across the UK, mainland Europe, Ukraine, Russia, and the United States. His international clientele value his ability to deliver outstanding academic outcomes while nurturing intellectual curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning.
